Kota Kinabalu: Parliamentary reform is also necessary to address the core causes of party hopping, according to Wisdom Foundation, a think tank based in Sabah.

“While the formation of the Parliament Special Select Committee on Constitutional Amendments to refine the Anti-Hopping Bill is a move in the right direction toward more professional politics in Malaysia.

“At the same time, parliamentary reform is necessary to address the core causes of party hopping,” Wisdom Foundation Research Manager Freeda Jane Madius said in a statement.
