Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel says Mateo Kovacic will train today ahead of Saturday's FA Cup final against Liverpool.
Kovacic collected an ankle injury against Leeds in midweek.
Tuchel said, "We will try it today. It is pretty surprising news that we are even in this situation where we can try, but Mateo wants to try.
"The medical department gave the green light to try it. There is no new injury but heavy pain, it's heavily swollen, so we're hoping that maybe time is enough that he makes it.
"He was good in the game and in general he has stepped up this season again."
