Wolves boss Bruno Lage defended his players after their 1-1 draw with Norwich City.

Lage insists he couldn't question the effort of his team on Sunday.

He said, "The players gave everything. It is frustrating because to be honest in the last couple of months, we've conceded chances and spaces for our opponents to score goals. Today was another game like that; we were in control, we gave everything, we had the ball, Norwich got a chance and scored.

"In the second half we changed some things, the players did their best, we scored a goal and should have more. We wanted to finish at home with a good performance and victory for the fans because they were amazing since day one, supporting us. It is a long season, we put Wolves in a position to fight for things no one thought possible.

"I see the way my players work; we have missed three players in defence and it has been frustrating the way we suffer goals."
