Everton forward Richarlison could face punishment from the Football Association.

The Brazilian striker threw a flare back into the crowd as he celebrated his goal against Chelsea on Sunday in the Premier League.

The forward got the only goal of the game, and supporters threw a flare onto the ground during the celebrations.

Richarlison picked up the item and appeared to throw it back into the crowd.

A club spokesperson said: "We will look into the matter but, as far as we are concerned, Richarlison was attempting to throw it out of the ground."

Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott was contacted by the FA in February over a similar incident after the Carabao Cup final.
