Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah West Coast Wise Consumers Association on Monday called on the Government and people to work together through the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) to address the problem of rising prices of goods.
Its President David Chan said the Government and authorities need to regulate the rising prices to mitigate inflation risks and avoid “hyper-inflation.”
He said regulations are needed to avoid a sharp spike in prices and to ensure that the Government can control the inflation rate.
