PSG chief Leonardo chose Gini Wijnaldum over Eduardo Camavinga last summer, it has been revealed.

Wijnaldum moved to PSG in a Bosman transfer from Liverpool, while Rennes sold Camavinga to Real Madrid. Wijnaldum is now facing being axed by PSG - and Holland coach Louis van Gaal.

Camavinga, meanwhile, has helped Real Madrid just win the LaLiga title.

And Marca says the decision for PSG to go for Wijnaldum over Camavinga was made by Leonardo.

It's also suggested the choice is a key reason why Leonardo is now fighting for his job at PSG.
