KUDAT: The Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) has demolished five “pondohons” (stilt huts) believed to be used as cross-border criminal stopovers, while 41 houses were given notices in the waters off Si Bogo, Pulau Bangkawan, near here, recently.
The notices were issued by Sabah Parks to warn homeowners to move or demolish the structures before the second phase of demolition is initiated.
Esscom Commander Deputy Commissioner Hamzah Ahmad said the “pondohons” were demolished during the Gasak Laut Ops.
