Arsenal hero Jack Wilshere was omitted for AGF's 1-1 draw with SønderjyskE on Sunday.
Bold reports the midfielder was dropped by AGF coach David Nielsen for the crunch relegation battle. The result keeps AGF out of the dropzone. They had been on a run of five consecutive defeats.
"Seen over 90 minutes, I think it was the best performance we have delivered this year," said Nielsen.
AGF has had a difficult Spring with just a single victory in 12 games.
"We've been bad," continued Nielsen. "Now we are not bad anymore but we are still in a tense situation so it is about continuing to be good in a bad situation."
