
Incoming Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is eager to see Reece James and Mason Mount handed new contracts.
It was confirmed in the early hours of today that Boehly has been given the green light to complete his £4.25billion takeover, after his consortium were named as the preferred bidder by the Raine Group, the bank overseeing the sale.
Journalist Ben Jacobs, the Blues' new chief has already set his sights on the first-team squad, with in-form stars James and Mount in line for fresh deals.
Flying wing back James has caught the eye this season with a host of superb performances, while Mount has been just as integral to manager Thomas Tuchel.
Indeed, Mount has scored 12 goals and recorded 15 assists across all competitions, helping Chelsea finish third in the Premier League and reach two cup finals.
