TAMPARULI: Villagers need to prioritise harmonious value to ensure the success of any programmes, said Rural Development Minister Datuk Jahid Jahim.
Jahid said such value will facilitate cooperation among villagers.
“The people must strengthen the spirit of camaraderie among them regardless of their background or political affiliation,” he said after officiating the Kaamatan Festival celebration at Kampung Kayangat, here, Sunday.
Jahid, who is also Tamparuli Assemblyman, said the presence of villagers at the event was a testimony of their close relationship.
“We are thankful as we are finally given the flexibility of holding public programmes during our shift into the endemic phase.”
Among the activities held were a tug-of-war competition, traditional food cooking competition, beauty pageant and singing competition, among others.
