Barcelona president Joan Laporta is set to secure a new cash injection.

The Blaugrana are close to finalising a deal that will see the club securing €200 million by selling some of the club's assets.

As reported by 2Playbook, Barcelona will sell 49 percent of Barca Licensing Merchandising (BLM) in exchange for the aforementioned amount.

By securing those 200m euros, Barcelona will be able to balance their books ahead of next season. The deal will be finalised before June 30, but it must first ratified by Barcelona members in a special assembly.

This amount is significantly lower than what the club initially intended to receive from the sale of their assets. Barcelona want the deal to include a repurchase option, as president Laporta confirmed a few weeks ago.
