QPR striker Charlie Austin feels former Southampton teammate James Ward-Prowse needs to leave this summer.
Manchester United and Manchester City are both being linked with the Saints captain.
Austin said, "He came through the academy and he has been there for so many years.
"There hasn't been the right opportunity. I think now is the time for him to move.
"His set-pieces and that are brilliant and he's probably going to beat David Beckham's record, but the nuts and bolts of his game, running hard, winning the ball back and leading the team are phenomenal."
