SANDAKAN: The district is not experiencing fuel shortages as claimed, said an official.

The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry's Sandakan chief Azdy Zukkry John said the viral WhatsApp voice message yesterday was false.

He said an inspection at two fuel depots in Sandakan found no such shortages.

Only the Petron station experienced a "little disruption" to its supply due to a tanker ship's late arrival, however, the vessel has arrived and delivery in stages is expected to start today.
