Arsenal are still hoping that Eddie Nketiah will sign a new contract with the club.

The youngster has been impressive in recent weeks, taking the place of Alexandre Lacazette as the team's main striker.

According to football.london, Arsenal are hopeful the 23-year-old will renew terms, having been at the club since he was 15.

However, the Gunners will still likely recruit one or two top forwards in the summer.

They lost Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the winter, while Lacazette is a free agent in the summer as well.

Manager Mikel Arteta will have a better chance to get his top targets if the club can finish fourth in the Premier League and qualify for next season's Champions League.
