EFL chief Rick Parry insists the Carabao Cup will persist despite planned changes for the Champions League.
UEFA have approved a new format from the 2024-25 season with the group stages expanded to 36 teams from 32.
Instead of six matches in the group stage, teams will play ten games against ten different opponents, but Parry insists it won't squeeze the Carabao Cup out of the English football calendar.
"We are realistic. We clearly know 2024 is coming. UEFA doesn't really like League Cups," Parry told the BBC.
"We are pretty much unique now in terms of major leagues."
