TAWAU: A 31-year-old man’s attempt to smuggle 600 litres of diesel was arrested while refuelling into a modified storage tank at a petrol station at Jalan Utara on Sunday.
Tawau Marine Police Force (PPM) Operations Headquarters Commanding Officer, DSP Ridzauddin Selamat, said his team had earlier detected an eight-tonne lorry at the location.
“PPM personnel approached the lorry and found a local filling diesel into a modified tank.
