
Kebabs originated from the Middle East and also Turkey. It is a cooked meat dish, with lamb, mutton and also chicken. Kebabs are popular in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and also in Nepal. They are made by using skewers. You can roast, grill or pan-fry it.
Today I am going to share with you a delicious Potato Seekh Kebab Recipe. Here is the recipe:-

Ingredients
- 3 boiled potatoes grated (approximately 400 grams)
- 3 slices of white breadcrumbs
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon chilli flakes
- 1 teaspoon chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper powder
- 1 ½ tablespoon crushed coriander seeds
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon grated garlic
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 2 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
- 3 tablespoon chopped mint leaves
- 3 tablespoon fried onions (crush it with your fingers)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoon rice flour
- 1 tablespoon cornflour
- 4 tablespoons oil
Method
- Take a bowl and start grating the potatoes. Then add breadcrumbs, onion, coriander leaves and mint leaves.
- Now add ginger & garlic and followed by chilli flakes, chilli powder, black pepper powder, cumin powder, crushed coriander seeds and salt.
- Mix well and add fried onions, rice flour and cornflour. Mix again until you get a smooth dough. Shape 2 tablespoons of this dough into a 4 to 5-inch long cylindrical shape.
- Take a frying pan on medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of oil and shallow fry 6 kebabs.
- Keep on turning the kebabs until it is golden in colour. This process will take 5 minutes.
- Repeat the same process again until you finish another 6 more kebabs.
- This recipe will give you 12 kebabs. Enjoy eating it while it is still hot.
Final thoughts
- When you are pan-frying the kebabs, you must be gentle with them, or else they might break.
- You can make these kebabs 2 days ahead and put them in the fridge.
- You may serve these kebabs with mint chutney or with chilli sauce.
- While shaping the kebabs, you may use a skewer or a chopstick.
