HULU SELANGOR, May 15 — The Hari Raya Aidilfitri open houses organised by the Selangor government kick off today at the Dewan Serbaguna and Kompleks Sukan Daerah Hulu Selangor here.
An estimated 5,000 visitors attended the event which was held for three hours starting at 2.30pm.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari arrived at 4.15pm with his wife Datin Seri Masdiana Muhammad to celebrate the event.
He later presented ‘duit raya’ donations to the children who were present.
More than 10 stalls provided traditional Aidilfitri food such as ketupat, lemang, kuih, ayam golek, laksa and others to the guests.
The open house was not only attended by Muslims but also by Selangor citizens from other races who came together to enliven the event.
