Kota Kinabalu: The State Government will launch the Sabah Education Fund (TPNS) next month, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
He said the setting up of TPNS is to enable more Sabahan children to have the opportunity to further their studies at institutions of higher learning either locally or abroad.
“The State Government has set up TPNS which will be launched next month. The establishment of TPNS is one of the initiatives in the Sabah Foundation Group's Strategic Transformation Plan 2015-2023.
"The effort is also in line with one of the thrusts of the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) which is to improve human capital development and the wellbeing of the people," said Hajiji, who is also the Finance Minister, while officiating the Sabah Teachers' Day celebration held at the Sabah International Convention Centre, here, today.
