
KENINGAU: The bloated body of a man, believed to be a road accident victim, was found in Sook.
District Police Chief Deputy Superintendent Nor Rafidah Kasim said the 22-year-old victim was found with a Modenas Kriss motorcycle in a ditch on Wednesday evening.
“It is believed the accident had occurred more than 24 hours ago as the body was bloated and wormy,” she said.
She said police received information at 2.30pm regarding the discovery and investigations at the scene showed the accident occurred while the victim was riding the motorcycle on the way from Tulid to Kampung Kuit in Sook.
“The victim is believed to have failed to control the motorcycle when negotiating a sharp bend in the area, skidded to the left of the road and crashed into the ditch,” she added.According to the investigations, Nor Rafidah said the accident was caused by the victim’s negligence and the case was being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
