Newcastle boss Eddie Howe is wary changing too much this summer in terms of the transfer market.
Howe has been cautious when asked about players leaving this summer between January and May, but he has accepted that some familiar faces will leave this summer.
He said: "In terms of a massive spend there are rules in place to stop that. It's all linked to boundaries we have to work towards. "We will do our best to produce a better team."
Howe was also asked about new sponsorship deals but could give little away, he said: "I'm sure there are plans under way. I'm sure there are big ambitions, but I don't know (about new commercial deals)."
Yet the main message that Howe wants to transmit from within is that there must be balance this summer. Even though he will have to work through 32 returning senior pros in the closed season.
Howe said: "I'm always a firm believer that you don't want to make too many changes. Too many incomings can have a negative effect on the group. Those numbers were right for January – and that was what the team needed."
