Loves to travel locally & overseas!

We have already arrived mid of 2022. Of course, you can’t wait to step into the next half of the year with renewed determination and enthusiasm as well as new holiday plans. Believe it or not, 2022 is the best year for you to plan your vacation more systematically. Therefore, I have listed the public holidays available in Malaysia in 2022 as well as the appropriate date for you to apply for your annual leave.

June

Monday (June 6) is the sixteenth Birthday of YDPA Malaysia, namely His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong XVI Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al- Musta’in Billah. Therefore, for those of you who want to apply for leave for your holiday, Friday (June 3) or Monday (June 7) are suitable dates for you.

July

In July 2022, there are two public holidays, namely Hari Raya Haji and Awal Muharram. If you want to plan your vacation, I recommend that you apply for a holiday on Friday (July 8) or Tuesday (July 12) for a four-day-long vacation!

August

In August 2022, the month of our independence, we get a holiday on the last day of the month, which is Wednesday (August 31). Because it falls on a Wednesday, you can apply for annual leave on Monday (August 29) and also Tuesday (August 30) for a long weekend from Aug 27 to Aug 31.

September

This September, Malaysia Day falls on Friday (September 16). So, the perfect day for you to take advantage of your 2022 annual holiday is on Friday (September 15) or Monday (September 19)! Wait no more, this is the right time for you to relax and also celebrate Malaysia Day even longer.

October

In October, Maulidur Rasul falls on a Sunday (October 9) while the Maulidur Rasul holiday is on Monday (October 10). Additionally, Deepavali falls on a Monday (October 24). Therefore, to plan a long break in October 2022, you can apply for your annual leave on Friday (October 7) or Monday (October 11) and Friday (October 21) or Tuesday (October 25).

November

No public holiday in November! This is the month for hustling for the end of the year, prepping for the Christmas gifts or the New Year vacation you’re planning. The options are endless!

December

The most anticipated day when December arrives is of course Christmas Day! Christmas Day in 2022 falls on a Sunday (December 25) and the holiday is carried over on Monday (December 26). Therefore, to get a longer Christmas holiday, you can apply for a holiday on Friday (December 23) or Tuesday (December 27). This gives you space to spend more time with your family. As 2023’s New Year’s Day falls on a Sunday (January 1) where the replacement holiday on the next day, Tuesday (January 2), you can take a day off on that Friday (December 30) for a break from 2022 to 2023!
