Real Madrid attacker Eden Hazard has contacted Cadiz defender Carlos Akapo.
A clash during Sunday's 1-1 draw between the pair left Akapo with two broken metarsals, so ending his season. The defender is expected to be off his feet for two months.
Radio Cope reports Hazard knows perfectly well what it's like to be injured for months and before the commotion generated by the tackle was made, he contacted Akapo to apologise and find out how he was.
The Real Madrid press service contacted their Cádiz counterparts for Akapo's contact details so that Hazard could talk to him and apologise.
The defender's injury is a blow to Cadiz which are playing for their LaLiga safety in the final week of the season.
