Former Bologna sporting director Riccardo Bigon is in line to join Salernitana.
Bigon will replace Walter Sabaitini, who resigned last week.
Salernitana chief exec Maurizio Milan said: "Bigon is a person diametrically opposed to Sabatini and, by the way, they shared an experience together at Bologna.
“I can confirm that between today and tomorrow the reservations will be dissolved.
"Bigon will present his plan and his philosophy and we will understand what to do. We want a director who works in osmosis with us, there is no division but teamwork."
