SANDAKAN: The Sandakan branch of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) seized 7,633 packets of subsidised cooking oil worth RM50,282.50 in a raid on an unnumbered store at Batu 9, Jalan Gereja, here, recently.
This was the second seizure here this year after the first on March 19 which saw 19,920kg of cooking oil seized.
KPDNHEP Sandakan branch head Azdy John said a team of enforcement officers raided the premises, suspected of misappropriating subsidised 1kg packets of cooking oil, at 4.45pm on June 4.
