Kota Kinabalu: Newly-elected Chairman of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), Sabah branch, laments that local engineers do not get to partake in mega projects unlike their peninsula counterparts and hopes this will change.
Willy Chin Tet Fu said they did advocate for the implementation of Pan Borneo Highway project in the early stage and for Sabahan engineers to be given first priority in the project.
“This is a gigantic project that involves multi-division engineering such as road, bridge, hydrology, geotech and so on.
