AC Milan could feature in the Trofeo Berlusconi this preseason.
The trophy returned last year as Silvio Berlusconi's Monza faced Juventus.
Before then, Milan had taken part in every single edition of the competition, amid a five-year hiatus.
La Gazzetta Dello Sport says Berlusconi could invite his former club Milan to make an appearance again after Monza's promotion to Serie A.
Monza held last summer's clash with Juventus in July and the match would have to be organised around Milan's preseason plans.
