Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis will follow the lead of manager Steve Cooper and chief exec Dane Murphy for this summer's transfer market.
The Sun says the 54-year-old and his son Miltiadis, who has been involved in the day-to-day running of the club since the start of the season, recently met with the team's CEO and manager at the training ground in Wilford Lane.
They held a meeting to discuss what players are needed to give them the best chance of survival ahead of the club's Premier League return.
Marinakis is also expected to splash over £2million on the club's training pitches, which will be renovated "from scratch" before next season.
The Olympiacos owner will be pumping over £3.5m into the academy's facilities too.
He is used to giving freedom to talented managers, doing the same at Olympiacos with Ernesto Valverde, Michel and current boss Pedro Martins.

The Greek champions have also made it out of the group stage of a major European competition 10 times in 11 attempts under Marinakis.
