Paul McShane has been appointed full-time to Manchester United's development staff.
McShane hung up the boots at the end of last season after a year as player-coach with the United U23s.
The Irish defender came through the academy at United and played for the first team before leaving.
He returned last summer to take up the role - a first for United.
He will now continue his coaching role with the Professional Development Phase following his retirement
