Former Manchester United assistant Chris Armas is on his way to Leeds United.

The Athletic reports the former New York Red Bulls coach will take up an assistant role, supporting his fellow countryman Jesse Marsch.

The American worked alongside Ralf Rangnick during the German's spell as interim manager, but with Erik ten Hag bringing in Mitchell van der Gaag and Steve McClaren, he will be moving on this summer.

Having left United alongside Rangnick, Armas is now set to be heading to Elland Road.

Armas and Marsch coached against eachother in MLS.
