Real Madrid's striker search is being restricted to the European market.

After Kylian Mbappe chose to re-sign with PSG, Real are still in need of a new striker.

But any new player will need to carry a EU passport.

Under La Liga regulations, the Spanish league allows three non-EU players on the pitch. Those places are and will be for Eder Militao, Vinicius Junior, and Rodrygo Goes.

The problem arises because none of the three will obtain dual nationality until January.

The issue also affects Takefusa Kubo and Reinier Jesus. Two young players who are also non-EU nationals.
