Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes is confident bouncing back from a difficult past season.
Fernandes insists he deserves his place in Portugal's squad this week.
"Who has seen the ups and downs? You? I have always been called up and the coach must agree with what I have done. Fernando Santos must be satisfied," he said.
"At Sporting and Manchester United the standard is very high and they expect me to score in every game. I am here to do what I am asked to do.
"Sometimes it's to attack more and other times it's to defend. It will also depend on my teammates around me. I think I've done a good job since 2017. I've always been called up and recognised by the coach and my teammates."
