Alexandre Lacazette is excited to have returned to Olympique Lyon.

The former Arsenal striker joins OL as a free agent, having agreed terms over a three-year contract.

Lacazette said at his presentation this morning: "Thank you for the welcome and the love shown in recent months. My return has become evident in recent weeks. Even without Europe, the project is important. I felt useful in the locker room and on the pitch. It was the best decision to make.

"I think I have made progress in my leadership. I gained more experience. I have also progressed in my game. I know the house and the values of the club well. There may have been a little break in recent seasons and I hope to help everyone regain that love for the club.

"Peter Bosz's appeal? He called me last week, we talked. It was a short call but he told me what he wanted from me.

"Antho (Lopes) has been writing to me every week for six months to find out if I had made a decision.

"My salary? The love of the club was enough to accept the drop. The project was important to me. I am happy. I took some time to make my decision. Football is a beautiful profession. It was complicated to follow OL's last season from a distance because I couldn't help. I hope this period is over and that we will find a great Lyon.

"It's moving to find this stadium again. I can't wait to wear this jersey we are going to find a great Lyon."
