Southampton owner Sport Republic co-founder Rasmus Ankersen is set to complete the acquisition of Turkish club Goztepe.
Ankersen, who is the CEO of the sports investment firm that purchased Saints from former owner Gao Jisheng in January, has been linked to the recently-relegated side since March.
The Dane was said to visit the club over the last six months for discussions, including having watched the Super Lig game which saw them demoted to the second division.
Fanatik says Ankersen is expected to return and complete the official signature to transfer the club to his ownership.
