AC Milan have made an opening bid for AS Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo.
Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massarra are keen to bring Zaniolo to Milan and have the backing of new owner Gerry Cardinale.
Il Tempo says have already presented an official offer of €35m plus bonuses, but Roma have turned it down.
The Giallorosso have informed Milan they can only sign Zaniolo for €60m. The midfielder has a deal to 2024.
Inter Milan are also watching developments closely.
