Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah flag with Mount Kinabalu fluttered briefly on Mount Everest recently. However, it was not put up there by a Sabahan.
The flag was carried and displayed by renowned Malaysian solo climber Ravichandran Tharumalingam and N. Elanghovan who summited the 8,848 metre (29,029 ft.) peak of the world’s highest mountain on May 12.
The programme “Keluarga Malaysia Everest Expedition 2022” initially included three other climbers, including Sabahan ultra-trail runner from Kota Belud, Adelinah Lintanga.
