West Ham boss David Moyes is desperate to add to his midfield this summer.
The London Evening News says Hammers boss David Moyes is also desperate to add substantial midfield reinforcements beyond Tomas Soucek and Declan Rice, following the retirement of club captain Mark Noble and the end of Alex Kral's unsuccessful loan spell.
The Scot failed with a £50million bid for Leeds' Kalvin Phillips in January and is also interested in Southampton's James Ward-Prowse.
Moyes is set to receive significant backing in this summer's window after securing a second successive season of European football, but is keen to make significant improvements in terms of depth as well as quality to cope with the congested fixture list.
