Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Parks, Kuala Penyu Tourism Operator Association (PPPKP) and Tempurung Golden Beach Resort collaborated to release 81 green turtle hatchlings into the ocean recently.
Ahmad Ismail, a Kg Tempurung villager, initially discovered 105 green turtle eggs at 6.15am on March 6.
After 55 days of incubation at the beach resort’s Turtle Hatching Centre, only 85 eggs survived, according to PPPKP President Teo Chung HL Goh.
