Chelsea are willing to subsidise Romelu Lukaku's wages for him to join Inter Milan on loan.

The Belgian made just 16 Premier League starts for Chelsea after joining from Inter for £97.5m last summer.

Inter want to bring their former striker back to San Siro, but finances have proved a stumbling block.

Lukaku, 29, reportedly earns more than £200,000-a-week at Stamford Bridge.

The London Evening Standard reports that Chelsea have agreed to subsidise Lukaku's wages, but they've also demanded that he take a significant pay-cut.

The Blues would also demand a substantial loan fee from the Serie A giants.
