Preston North End are closing on a deal for Newcastle United goalkeeper Freddie Woodman.
The Northern Echo says Woodman is closer to a move away from Newcastle.
The 25-year-old is set to join Preston North-End on an initial loan move, with the view to a permanent transfer.
Woodman is currently third-choice at St. James' Park, and with Toon on the lookout for a new stopper, first team football will be hard to come by.
It's claimed his move to Preston will be a season-long loan deal, and the Lilywhites will have the option to sign him permanently next summer.
