Kota Kinabalu: The Malaysian Prisons Department recently took the initiative to allow young inmates at the Kota Kinabalu Integrity School to register as Bronze Level participants for the Anugerah Remaja Perdana Rakan Muda.
The six-month programme started in December 2021 and ended in May this year with a total of 11 young inmates earning their accreditation.
The programme, which promotes a sense of volunteerism and self-development, is the first such collaboration between the Kota Kinabalu Central Prisons and the Federal’s Youth and Sports Department in Sabah.
