SANDAKAN: The runway extension project at Sandakan Airport, which has been completed, needs to be fully utilised to develop the local economy and tourism sector.
DAP Secretary-General Anthony Loke said the runway extension would make it easier for long-haul aircrafts such as from Korea, China, Taiwan and Bangkok to land and take off from the field.
