KUALA LUMPUR, June 6 — The Selangor Pavilion at the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (KLIBF) 2022 has received nearly 10,000 visitors throughout the three days of the event.
Selangor Public Library Corporation director Datin Paduka Mastura Muhamad said the programme held at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre (WTCKL) here gave the public a chance to get information on the state government’s initiative.
“Alhamdulillah (Praises be to God), since KLIBF started, the response has been overwhelming. We recorded over 2,900 visitors to our booth on the first day alone.
“The visitors chose to relax at the Selangor Pavilion because we provided chairs and refreshments. This provided the opportunity for officers from various agencies involved to approach them and give out information about the services provided by the state government,” she said.
The Selangor Pavilion provides various information on the state government’s initiatives and the space operates from 10am to 10pm.
A total of 19 agencies involved in the programme including the Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI, Tourism Selangor, KDEB Waste Management Sdn Bhd (KDEBWM) and Yayasan Hijrah Selangor.
