Arsenal are leaning on Brazilian ties as they go for Leeds United winger Raphinha.

The Gunners face stiff competition from Barcelona and Chelsea for the Brazil international.

But the Telegraph says Arsenal are making a firm move for the winger.

And Arteta could have a secret weapon to sign the forward instead of Barca.

Arteta will look to lean on numerous links to the winger in an attempt to convince him to snub Barca for the Emirates. The 25-year-old played alongside Gabriel Magalhaes when he was coming through the youth ranks of Brazilian side Avai, and currently plays alongside Gabriel Martinelli for the Brazilian national side.

Edu, Arsenal's technical director, is also a former Brazil team manager and popular within Brazilian football.

Leeds are seeking £60m to sell Raphinha this summer.
