Brighton are confident Danny Welbeck will sign a new contract.
The club confirmed within a press release and update on their website late that he is “set to sign a new contract this summer".
Pascal Gross, who was also out of contract, has signed a new two-year deal with the Seagulls.
Technical director David Weir said: “We are delighted that Pascal and Danny will be with us next season.
“Both are important members of Graham's (Potter, manager) squad, having each had another excellent season in the Premier League, playing key roles in helping us secure our highest-ever top-flight finish."
