Kota Kinabalu: As schools will reopen after a two-week holiday on Monday, parents are urged to ensure that their children practise hygiene to avoid contracting the hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD).
Sabah Health Exco Datuk Ir. Shahelmey Yahya said the HFMD, with symptoms of fever, sore throat, followed by rashes and blisters, could be easily passed on among kids, especially those in daycare centres.
