Manchester City have encouraged Real Madrid to bid for Raheem Sterling.
Marca says with a year to run on his current deal and tension existing with manager Pep Guardiola, City have offered Sterling to Real Madrid.
However, the proposal has received a cool response, with Real Madrid having little interest in the England international. This despite City willing to sell at a reduced price.
Sterling scored 17 goals and provided nine assists in 47 appearances for City in all competitions last season.
But he struggled for a regular start, leading to tension with Guardiola.
