After what has felt like the longest trial in history, Johnny Depp claims victory against ex-wife Amber Heard in his defamation case against her from 2019, when she quote unquote called herself "a public figure representing domestic abuse", via the Washington Post.
Earlier today (June 2nd 2022 EST), the jury ruled in favor of Johnny Depp that Heard defamed him and acted with malice before and during their brief marriage.
They also found in favor of Heard, who said she was defamed by Depp's lawyer when he called her abuse allegations a hoax. Depp was stated to be awarded US$15mil (RM66mil) in damages, while Heard US$2mil (RM8.7mil).
