Matt Targett has said farewell to Aston Villa after his stay with Newcastle United was made permanent on Wednesday.
The wing-back originally joined Villa in January on-loan.
In a club statement, Villa sent a classy message to Targett, thanking the defender for his efforts in helping to establish the team back in the top-flight.
Responding to the post on Twitter, he said: “Thanks Villans. I had some great memories and met amazing people whilst with Villa.
"Wishing you all the best."
