Brentford captain Pontus Jansson says closing his career with Malmo FF remains on the agenda.

For the past three years he has been playing in Brentford. In January, he extended his contract until next summer.

There is an option to extend by another year - until the summer of 2024. Whether this is his last season in the Premier League, he is not sure.

"I do not know. We take it season by season, it's best for all parties. But I feel for myself that Malmö is getting closer and closer. It is something that makes me irritable, at the same time as it will of course be boring not to play in the Premier League anymore," he told Sydsvenskan.

"Then, of course, it should suit Malmö as well. They should want me and everything should work. But that's probably the easiest thing to do."
